I can't believe our 'baby' is 3 tomorrow and starting Nursery as well!!

As she is pink on the brain at the minute, the card had to have a definite pink theme! I love this Messy Rabbit stamp and think it makes a really cute girly card :)

Quick and easy Baby Girl card

This little card is very easy to make :)

I stamped the Elzybells baby image on plain card, a scrap of Doodlebug paper and also on skin coloured card. I cut the papers and paper pieced them to the main image with a glue pen (Zig 2 way glue).
The sentiment (Scrappy Cat)was stamped with the same pink ink (memento Rose Bud) as the image. Then I tied 2 strips of satin ribbon down the side in bows and finished off with 3 small pink gems on the right hand side.
Thanks for looking! xx

Change from flower to.....a Pig!

I was looking at the flower last night and thought it looked a bit like a pig's nose in the centre so I had a felt circle which I cut in half then folded in half and sewed on as ears and two little black beads for eyes and I made a little piggie!!
Please don't look too closely at the sewing!! It's a long time since I did any and I'm a bit rusty....
I sewed a little bar broach pin on the back and Phoebe has fallen in love with it. She wore it pinned on her beret to Sunday School today :)

Fabric Flower...1st Sewing Project

My first flower :)

I've been meaning to make one of these flowers for ages but never got round to it, so I've taken the plunge and tried it out!

The fabric is an offcut from Ikea and I cut the circle with the largest circle nestability die (you need to run it through the machine a few times, and cut the bits that are not quite cut through). Thread a running stitch around the outside edge and pull tight and fasten off. Cut a small circle (nestabilities) from felt, sew it on and finish it all off with a button.

The leaves are cut from felt with a sizzix die using the Cuttlebug.
I'm on the look out for nice fabric now, I think I'll be using these flowers in different sizes on my mini books :)

Check this out!!!

Isn't this gorgeous!!!

I found a new website selling this felt and loads of other things. My order came yesterday and I just love it (still at the touchy, feely stage - I can't bear to cut it yet!!).

The website is http://www.paper-and-string.co.uk/ . The felt is really good quality with loads of colours to choose from. There's also buttons and ribbons and you can buy handmade goods too which are beautiful.

Just thought I'd share :)

Reunion Invitations

Mum decided on Sunday she was going to arrange a reunion for all her cousins, so she asked me to make the invitations. The only snag was she needed to post them on Thursday (panic!!) I knew it would have to be very simple so on Tuesday night I did all the computer work and on Wedsnesday night I made all 36 them. Last night I went to bed at 7pm and slept to 7 this morning!!

The card is pearlescent ivory, printed, then cut out and embossed with the largest labels 8 nestability die. I punched two small holes in the top with the crop a dile and put white satin ribbon through them. The card pocket is the same pearlescent card folded in half (A6 size) with a half circle punched from the top edge and taped along two sides. These would look lovely with some coloured ribbon around the pocket and the word 'invitation' popped up on the front but i just didn't have time!

Two posts today!!

I got the card finished last night :)

I used a Woodware clear stamp (fairy), coloured her with Koh-I-Noor pencils and Sansodor oil. Her wings and crown were coloured with a clear stardust Sakura pen. The vine is a Sizzix die and the flowers are Green Tara. The papers are Doodlebug and the frame is Nestabilities (Labels four)

New Term

Well it's a new day and they're back to school.

Caleb is so excited about seeing his wee school buddies and getting a new teacher. Lydia was keen to get back too (though not so happy she has games and had to bring all her kit!!)

These photos are really fuzzy but I only had two minutes to take them before Lydia had to go get the bus. Of course Phoebe had to get her photo taken too in her pyjamas and flip flops!! The house is so quiet.....
