Happy New Year!

Happy New Year
everyone!
I hope you all have a great evening and I wish you many blessings for 2012.
Thank you for your support this year and for all the lovely comments left
I appreciate every one of them.

*whispers* I've been a bad blogger at updating so here's hoping I can keep a New Year's resolution to update at least twice once a week from now on.....

So, to finish off the year I'm posting the last of the Christmas things I've made...

These were for Lydia's best friend, a felt keyring, brooch and bookmark.

This has been a very popular image from Digistamp Boutique and I love it. Though when I made this card, I asked my 5 year old if she liked it  and after looking at it critically for a minute she said, 'Nah, you've made a mistake'.  Really?, I said....Yes...only one reindeer should have a red nose....lol

I made the same card for my own Mum and Dad but it's minus the red background.

The red postbox on this card is a Molly Blooms stamp which I borrowed from my friend. I added glossy accents to the snow and sprinkled it with Glamour dust.

and the baubles digi image on the last card is from a Passion for Stamps. I coloured it with Stampin' Up markers and the sentiment is from Pink Petticoat.

See you next year!

Reindeer boxes

Hello again!

Back with more projects today :)
Thank you so much for the lovely comments yesterday - I really appreciate them :)
My back is improving, so much so that I'm back to my normal level of medication (I have an ongoing back problem from a car accident). I hope to be crafting again soon.  Helen - you would never regret buying a Silhouette Cameo - it's an amazing machine!

I made this little treat box (with the Cameo) for my father in law from the children.  He loves wine gums so we filled a cello bag and tied it with christmas twine.  The cutting file is from Silhouette's online store.  I added gingham ribbon around the bottom and two adhesive pearls for his eyes.

Warning! They can be addictive....I made four more for my nephews using googly eyes this time and bow ties.

We usually give them money for Christmas so I made mini envelopes to put it in and attached them to the back of the boxes.  I downloaded Echo Park christmas paper and cut them out using the print and cut feature in the Cameo.

I got the idea for this tic tac box here and downloaded the poem to add to the back of the packet.  I measured the tic tac box and designed the file in Silhouette Studio, cutting out the circle in the snowman and the background card to match - a circle punch would work just as well. The snowman image is from here.

I only added the poem to the ones I gave to family just in case anyone would be offended!

I found the tutorial for this lovely lip balm holder here.
To save time cutting and scoring I made a file in Silhouette Studio which did all the hard work for me :)

This year Lydia's form class decided (at the last minute) to do secret santa and this is what she gave. Lip balm, tic tacs, Paperchase pen and tissues.

I made some fabric and felt Christmas tree decorations

and this is the bag I put them in.
The paper is Echo Park and the bag was cut out with the Cameo, I think I bought the file from Silhouette online.

That's it for today!  I still have more but I'll save it for tomorrow :)
I've got a little time to spare so I'm off now to see your blogs.

Thank you for visiting today

Christmas cards and gift bags

Hello everyone:)
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas!
We had a quiet Christmas day at home with the children, celebrated Boxing day here with my Mum & Dad and then had a family day at their house yesterday with my brothers, their wives and all of our children. It was quite a houseful but was lovely to catch up with everyone!
Santa was very generous and brought me a Silhouette Cameo and even delivered it early ;)  It hasn't had a lot of use yet, as silly me fell the week before Christmas when out shopping in Belfast. At the time my pride was hurt more than anything (lol) but that night my back pain flared up and I haven't been able to do much crafting since.  Fortunately though, I had most of my bags and presents made before that :)

Here are the teachers' cards and gifts - 4 in all, 2 for the teachers and 2 for the classroom assistants.

I cut these crackers out with the craft robo (I think the file came with the studio software). The papers are Echo Park, Jillibean soup, plain white card and Bazzill dotted swiss card.  The images are from DigiStamp Boutique and I resized them and cut them out using print and cut with the craft robo.  I coloured them with Copics and Stampin' Up markers. (You might have spotted that I made an extra one....it was for a friend :)

I bought some packets of tissues and embellished them with christmas paper, ribbon and a snowman.  I edited the snowman in studio software to remove his arms, it meant I could enlarge him to fit the circle better.

These base of these calendars are made of white chipboard which I bought in the PaperMill shop before it closed. The image is pre-coloured from here and the paper is Bo Bunnny - Peacock Lane Ivy.

The paper for this calendar is Pebbles Inc. - My Girl Tiny Flower

The paper for this calendar is from the DCWV - Pocket Full of Posies Stack.

The paper for this one is Daisyd's - Maybe Baby Adore

I made all these bags with the Craft Robo and I bought the cutting file for it here.
I used Bazzill kraft card for the bag base and the paper is 3 Bugs in a Rug - Snow much fun Santa's Elves.  I cut the title (font is Georgia) and tag with the robo.  The Christmas Divine twine is from Creative Craft World.

The paper for this bag is Echo Park - Winter Park, Park City. The trees are cut with the robo from Bazzill embossed dot card and edged with Glamour Dust.

The paper on this one is Cosmo Cricket - Jolly By Golly, Merry Berry. The 'Merry Christmas' title is from Silhouette Studio, cut out with the robo.

and lastly, the paper on this one is 3 Bugs in a Rug - Let it Snow, Reindeer.

As I was running out of time, I made very simple personalised ('salad fingers' font) cards this year.  The images are from DigiStamp Boutique and I coloured them with Copics.  As they tend to bleed through the card I cut an extra piece of white card and taped it to the inside of the front of the card to cover it.  I usually add an insert to the card as well so it covers the extra piece added on. It's difficult to see in the photos but I added Glamour dust to all the images for extra sparkle!

This card was coloured with Stampin' Up markers which don't bleed through so there is no need to cover the inside.

The finished packages ready for delivery!

Sorry it's been such an overload of photos!
I have more to come but I think I'll save them for tomorrow!

See you soon
