A little peek at my Kaisercraft Mini Book

Hi Everyone!
Isn't this weather gorgeous - nearly too hot to sit out in!
I can't believe it's been a week since I last updated :o
I have been busy though, just haven't got anything finished yet to post.  So I thought I'd give you a wee peek at one of the books I have been doing.

Two friends and I have started to meet up twice a month to work on scrapbook projects and this is the one we're doing now.  To make it fun we all have the same book, paper pad and embellishments ~ it's amazing how each is turning out!  It's killing me though, having to leave it alone until the next time we meet up.

The paper is K & Company, Carolyn Gavin Greenhouse Collection.
You can get it HERE, the seller is first class and postage rates are excellent.  Also, if there's anything she hasn't got, she will order it for you!

This is the title which I love!
You know the way we all have funny photos that we can't bear to throw out but tend to stay hidden in the packet?  Well, I'm going to put mine in this book, 'cause they are a little nutty! ~ hubby's not too pleased as he's in some of them. (hehe)

See you soon for more peeks :)

I forgot to say the album is Kaisercraft and if you've never seen them before, they are excellent quality, really sturdy and easy to work with.
Also if there's anything you see in the photos and you'd like to know where to get them just email me :)

Triplets Birthday cards

My nephews' birthday is today and yes ~ they are triplets!!  Instead of buying them a present this year we've decided to give them money to spend on whatever they wish!  I made these little gift card holders / money wallets to put it in.  I downloaded the template from the 2peas in a bucket website in December.

The car/motorbike die cuts are Cuttlekids dies and the notice board is a freebie download from Dustin Pike.  I added the 'happy birthday' sentiment to the notice board by using WordArt on the computer, printed it out and then cut around the edge.  The red, green and blue circles are washers cut out of card and a black brad inserted through the centre of each. I chalked around the edges of the die cuts and below the wheels to take the flat look off them (if that makes sense!)

You can add your message to the inside flap (if it was for a girl I'd be adding flowers and stamping but boys prefer it plain!!)  Before sticking the bottom flap at each side I embossed it with the 'Happy Birthday' Cuttlebug embossing folder.  To keep the top flap closed I used a small piece of adhesive velcro.

These are so easy to make and if it's for a girl you can add loads of lovely embellishments to the top and bottom flaps :)  Just the perfect size for a Gift Card.

Cardstock - Red, Green, Blue, Black, Silver
Template - 2Peas in a Bucket
Dies - Cuttlekids, Sizzix washers
Embossing Folder - Cuttlebug Happy Birthday
Notice Board download - Dustin Pike

I'm still working on my Mini Books and should have them ready soon.

Thanks for looking today! x

Birthday Boy card & Box

Good morning!

It's Caleb's 6th birthday today and he is so excited!  It was hard to get him to go to school this morning, all he wanted to do was play with his presents.  When he's tucked  in bed at night he loves to suggle up to his special soft toys that he calls his 'buddies'!  This year Phoebe wanted to give him a new buddy, so I made a little box to put it in.

The lid of the box (Don't know if Phoebe would agree with  the sentiment all of the time!)
Matching card
The set along with the 'new buddy lion' peeping out from behind!

The box is made using the Sizzix Bigz Die ~ takeout box.  The paper is from the DCWV Boy Stack.  The little stamps 'best brother ever' are from a set of Elzybells clear stamps.  They are so useful, you can make loads of sentiments and sentences from them.  The handle is a strip of kraft cardstock and  the edges trimmed with Dovecraft pinking scissors, I then added a strip of designer paper along the centre.  I pierced holes in each side of the box and attached the handle with little orange brads so it can be folded back to open the box.

Supplies
Designer paper - DCWV All About Boys Stack
Cardstock - Kraft, Green, Vanilla, Yellow
Stamps - Elzybells, Daisy & Dandelion
Dies - Sizzix - takeout box, Arrows, Nestabilities - circles, scalloped circle
Ink - Stazon -Timber Brown
Ribbon - Poppicrafts
Card Candy
Button - Papermania
Scissors - Dovecraft pinking
Black fine doodling pen

Thanks for visiting today xx

Super quick card

Hi Everyone

A really quick card today using die cuts.  It's a little card to match the bag I made a few days ago.

The base card is 9x9cm square, the flower die cut is cut from a Cuttlekids die and the 'thanks' die cut is cut from the Cuttlebug 'Olivia' set.  The little button and the ribbon in the centre are from Poppicrafts.

Thanks for looking today ~ I hope to be back tomorrow with more cards and a cute little box.
xx

Another Gift Bag - thanks so much

These wee bags are so quick to make and although they're not that big (9cm wide, 5.5cm deep and 18cm tall) they are just big enough to hold a bottle of handcream/perfume/bath salts etc. or even a cello bag filled with sweets.

This one is for my friend, who is being a huge help to me on Sunday.

Instead of tying this bag closed at the top, I punched 2 tabs and taped them to the top edge and punched a hole in the centre of each for the ribbon handle to go through.

The dragonfly die is cut out with a Quickcutz die and layered together with different colours of card.
Star dust Stickles glitter glue was added to the wings for some sparkle!

The 2 flowers are cut with a Sizzix die and layered with the top flower having it's leaves turned upwards.  A white button was glued in the centre to finish it off.

Supplies
Designer paper - 3 Bugs in a Rug/ What a Hoot
Cardstock - Green, White, Purple, Yellow
Punches - Martha Stewart/Doily Lace, McGill/Round Tab
Sizzix dies - Vine, Bird w/Leaves & Flower
Quickcutz die - Dragonfly
Nestabilities - Circles
Stamp - Daisy Bucket
Black ink
Black doodling pen
White organza ribbon
White button, lilac thread

Thanks for looking!  I'll be back soon with more cards - lots of birthdays coming up.

Gift Bag with an attempt at paper flowers....

Good morning!
Today I have a little gift bag to share :)

I love collecting small packages (boxes/bags) to use as templates and when I was clearing my craft table I found this little bag that was given to me a few months ago, under all the clutter. (*blush*)

Here's the bag I made using the template...

The paper is DCWV, The Green Stack.  The top of the bag is punched with the Martha Stewart scallop dot edger punch.  The stripe ribbon is from Poppicrafts.

The flowers were made by roughly cutting 3 different sized circles, cutting a spiral shape in each and rolling from the outside end to the centre. Then add a little wet glue to the bottom to hold it together.
The leaves were cut out with this sizzix die and the edges were inked with distress ink.
The little curls are thin strips of card wound around my piercing tool (you could use a thin pencil)

The tag is cut out with nestabilities circles, some distress ink added to the edges and the 'happy day' stamp is by Printworks Clearly Defined.  A little doodling and some green thread to finish it off.

Have a lovely day!
