Hello :)
I've had such a busy weekend I'm only getting to update my blog now :)
I hope you're all well!
I have a question for you about colouring an image for a card/project!
I had been selecting the papers I wanted for a card and then colouring the image to match them
but I found this took me a long time just to make one card so....
I've now started printing out a page of images (or stamping) and colouring them
in whatever colour is to hand,
then matching the papers after....so much quicker!
I now find I'm using papers I never would have thought of using before :)
What have you found works best for you?
The card I'm sharing today is a little Wryn digi image from Tiddly Inks.
She's printed on smooth white card and coloured with Copics.

The yellow spotty paper is Echo Park ~ Sweet Summertime
and the 'parasol' paper is by Memory Box.
I layered them on blue Bazzill card and machine stitched around the spotty paper.
I tied blue raffia around the card and threaded it through a yellow Prima flower.
Then added the mini button on top of the bow, with a glue dot.
The sentiment is computer generated using 'teenage angst' font
and sponged with yellow ink around the edge.
To finish off, I added tiny gems from Meiflower around the image :)
Well that's the Easter holidays well and truly over for us!
School starts back again tomorrow.
It's been such a treat to get a lie in this week :)
I don't relish the thought of having to get up at 6.30am again....lol
Thank you for visiting my blog today!
Take care :)

This is adorable! I love the colours you have chosen. Thank you for playing at Sweet Stampin' this week. Hugs, Tracey x
A BEAUTIFUL summery card, beautifully coloured, love it.
As for choosing colours, I usually pick the papers first to match an image if that makes sense, then colour it in the colours of the papers, as I do it all digitally I can then get the colours correct.
Fab card, love the image - great colouring. Fab polka dot paper too! Thank you for joining us at Sweet Stampin this week, Wedgie xxx
PS I have some candy if you are interested
Absolutely beautiful Sarah!!
I have tried colouring first and choosing papers first but I struggle both ways, lol!

Oh I love, love, love this one Sarah! The colours and image are just gorgeous! As for your question I used to colour to match the papers but now tend to choose my papers first but then still end up changing them quite often LOL!

Hi Sarah, gorgeous card! Love Wyrn (I just got some for myself the other day, yet to colour them in!), wonderfully coloured.
Beautiful colour choice and papers as well.
As for which comes first - the paper or the ink, I've always coloured first then found the paper. Someone said once that you should do it the other way around, but the one time I did that I completely changed my mind with which papers to use and so it didn't work anyway!!! Since gone back to colouring then digging for paper.
Thanks for joining in with us this week at Sweet Stampin.

Simply gorgous card - love the fresh yellows with the contrasting blues. Lots of lovely bling for our challenge too.
I mostly colour my images first but then I take AGES finding paper to match and always end up using the same colours so I've started selecting papers first now!
Thanks so much for joining us

Fantastic card!! Thank you for playing along at the ABC challenge blog!
Really super card. Lovely image beautifully coloured and I love your colour choices for your papers too.
I tend to choose the paper first, many a time I`ve coloured an image and then couldn`t find a paper to go with it. So frustrating.
Thanks for joining us at St Lukes this month.
