LiM challenge - Butterfly/Butterflies

It's a new challenge again over at the Less is More blog and I love the theme this week - butterflies!
I made a card yesterday using butterflies but I don't think it's LiM enough so I've made another one this morning.  This is my 3rd attempt at the card...it started off with a sponged panel in the middle (was a disaster so threw that in the bin) then a Father's day card (it got scrapped for being a bit too girly) and I ended up with this one.

Close up of raised butterfly - the grey brads look a strange colour in the photos!

The butterfly and sentiment are Unity stamps.  They are stamped on white card using Weathered Wood distress ink and cut out.  The butterfly is added to the card with foam pads and a row of holes pricked for the butterfly trail.  I added grey and pink brads to the holes and then wrapped grey thread a few times around the bottom of the card and tied with a little bow.  The pink heart is punched out of white card and coloured with opera pink versacolor ink, covered in glossy accents and sprinkled with glamour dust.  It is added to the butterfly with a foam pad. The grey spotty paper is downloaded from Allison Kimball's blog - she has lots of beautiful digi papers and kits which are free to download.

(not included in the LiM challenge)

This is the card I made yesterday and it's for Lydia's friend who will be 14 soon.
I also used the same free digi papers from Allison as the last card. The butterflies and 'happy birthday' are die cut using Tim Holtz alterations dies - Typeset and Mini Butterflies. I doodled on the butterflies and around the edges of the papers and added a tiny clear gem to the centres of the butterflies.

Thank you for visiting today and I hope you have a lovely evening!
