It's Daisy

Hello again :D

I better warn you.....
...the card I have today is bright!

and all because of a new blog I found...

You might remember I said a while ago that I had to finish the clothes for the teddy bear I made.
Well, I would have had them finished only I ran out of lace for the bloomers.
After searching high and low on the internet for the exact same lace
(and beginning to despair of ever finding it)
I found it here.
I ordered some seam binding as well and it came neatly folded, labelled and beautifully packaged :)

I discovered they (The Ribbon Girl) have a challenge blog and as I love a challenge
This is what I made - using the colours orange, pink and aqua.
I used this week's sketch from T.S.G.
The image is Daisy from Digistamp Boutique and she's coloured with Copics.
I got carried away and coloured her hair blue too...but my daughter Lydia says it's cool so I'll trust her opinion lol.
The seam binding colours are white, peach and tile blue.
The pink and blue papers are DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies
and the orange spot paper is Echo Park.

I inked the sentiment using SU markers and stamped on white card which I then cut in the shape of a flag/banner (not sure what you'd call it!) I raised the centre of it with foam pads.

I'd also like to enter this card in Diva's by design who are looking for buttons & bows.  Sweet Stampin would like to see more than 1 ribbon.  Card Makin Mamas would like you to make it Girly.  LadybugcraftsInk have the theme Birthday and Celebrate the Occasion would like Happy Birthday and you must use ribbon. I'd also like to add it to the Digistamp Boutique monthly challenge.

Now that I've got my new lace
there really is no excuse for not finishing the teddy now, is there?
Keep an eye out and I'll post pics soon :)

Thank you so much for stopping by today
I hope you're not getting drenched with all this rain...
Our conservatory has sprung a leak
so there's now a bucket in the middle of the floor, catching the drips!
See you tomorrow
Sarah xx
