How Charming!

Good afternoon!
Didn't the weekend fly by...

I had some lovely news on Friday that I was showcased over at Less is More
for my shades of green card!
Thank you Chrissie and Mandi :)

I'm back today with my entry for  this week's challenge .
The challenge is to add a charm to your card.

For my card I used a sunflower digi from Dilly Beans Stamps,
which I cut out with nestabilites and sponged around the edge with blue and green ink
before I removed it from the die.

I coloured it with copics and added glamour dust to the centres of the flowers

I'm afraid I don't know where I got the charm from - possibly ebay?
and I added a TH jump ring so it would hang without twisting.

I tied the charm on with two strands of hemp twine (one of my lovely purchases at the craft show)
The sentiment is by Personal Impressions and is stamped with SU
Chocolate Chip and Apricot Appeal inks.
I've just realised Lydia should be at her music lesson
Must run!
Thank you all for visiting my blog and for leaving comments ~ I really appreciate it :)
Have a lovely evening,
Sarah xx

Ps. Thank you Lisa for choosing me as one of your top picks at Make it Monday :)

Digistamp boutique digi stamps - Monsters

Good morning!

I bought these digi stamps a while ago thinking they would be perfect for a little boys card and the opportunity came to use them last week.  Our Caleb was invited to his best friend Caleb's party on Saturday.  They were born 5 days apart, are in the same class at school and sit at the same table!

Glossy accents on the eyes, teeth and number 7

 The decorated envelope

I printed the monsters on white card, coloured them with Koh-i-noor pencils and matted the card onto black.
The sentiment was computer generated using WordArt (grutchline & awakening fonts), cut in a rectangle and matted onto black card.
The number 7 is die cut using a Cuttlebug 'Olivia' die and then I used gossy accents on it, the eyes and the teeth of the monsters.

For once I wasn't last minute making the card and had time to decorate the envelope too with another little monster.

Thank you for stopping by and for all your lovely comments, they're much appreciated :)
Also hello to my new followers - lovely to see you!

Covered notebooks and Clipboard calendars

Good morning :)

I have to apologise for the state of these photos!!! I had been so busy making the books I didn't have time to take decent pictures of them and Richard took these ones while we were getting ready to go to the craft fair at our local primary school.   The first pictures are of little kraft coloured notebooks and pen sets which I covered back and front with various designer papers.  I think I mostly used Cosmo Cricket, October Afternoon, Doodlebug & My Minds Eye papers.
The die cuts on the front of each book (apple, hearts, strawberries, mushrooms, flowers, squares & circles) were all cut out with the Sizzix Big Shot using a mixture of Sizzix, Cuttlebug and Nestabilities dies. The word 'Notes' was cut using the Tim Holtz - Chip Block - decorative strip die.

MINI CLIPBOARDS
To make the clipboards, cut a piece of chipboard 3¾" x 4½"  and cover with paper.  Cover a mini bulldog clip with matching paper (I find using double sided tape the easiest).  Tape the calendar to the covered chipboard base and add your decorated clip to the top.  Tie matching ribbon to your clip and decorate the bottom of the calendar as desired.
The notepad is made using a pad of sticky notes and covering with plain or embossed card.  The sentiment 'A little note' is computer generated using 'Sophie' font and if you don't tape the notepad to the clipboard (just use the clip) you can replace it when it's all used up!

The little tags (tied around the top of the bags) were punched out with Stampin Up's Jewellery tag punch and the 'hand crafted' is from the Tiny Tags stamp set (I really love that set) It's stamped with Chocolate Chip ink.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to be back soon with some cards and maybe a mini book....!

Take care :)

Chipboard Mini Desktop Calendar

This is the Desktop Calendar I taught at a craft class in December.  It is white chipboard cut out with the Sizzix Originals Die - File Folder #2 .  The stand is chipboard folded in half and covered with cardstock.  I loved making this but I still haven't got round to putting all my photos in it and Mum's still waiting on hers....
