More Father's Day cards using the Silhouette

Hello again,

I'm just posting these cards that I made for my own Dad now that I've got the photos.

I cut the words out of navy card using the Silhouette Cameo.
I tied 'airmail' divine twine around the card a few times before layering on a 7"x 5" white card blank with foam pads.
I finished off by rounding the corners of the card with a Corner Chomper and adding a red heart button to the bow.

The Grandpa card from the 3 children.

Using the Cameo again, I cut out the stick man (grandpa) from black card.
I glued him on white card, then rounded the corners. I printed and cut out the sentiment and threaded raffia through each side and layered on green card.

I then matted it on black card with foam pads and layered that on a white card blank.

To finish I added faux stitching around the edges and glossy accents to his glasses.
I'm pleased to say that Dad loved his (very simple) cards :)

Right....I'm off to bed ~ it's Caleb's sports day tomorrow and Phoebe has a school trip to a farm
so it'll be all systems go in the morning to get them organised and out in time!

Still haven't the teacher cards made  (just in case you were wondering lol)

Father's Day cards

Good morning everyone :)

Well,  thankfully I managed to get the Father's Day cards made for yesterday
and I had two little helpers who wanted to make their own ~ so all done in no time!

It's been a few weeks since I've had time to enter the Less is More challenge
and this week the theme of 'something shiny' was perfect for making Richard's card.

My Silhouette got a good workout as I hadn't time for any colouring at all.

The white base card is 7"x 5" folded landscape. I printed the sentiment (Rod font) on white card and matted it on silver card.  Then I cut circles from silver and white card and layered them together. The tools were cut with the Cameo and glued to the circles.  I then matted the completed rectangle to the card with foam pads.

This 2nd card is the one I made for Lydia to give to her Dad.

It's also cut out with the Cameo from Bazzill kraft card and I highlighted the sentiment by decoupaging with paper from DCWV green stack.
I tied some yellow Divine twine around the 'D' and added a tiny button.
Then I doodled some faux stitching around the outside to frame it all.

That's it for now!
I also made 2 cards for my own Dad but I still have to take a photo of them.
I'll upload them as soon as I've that done.

Thanks for stopping by today,
I really must make a start on the teacher cards, I've put it off long enough...
'See you later!'
Take care :)

Selection of cards

Who was I kidding when I said I'd have more time with the children off school.....lol.  It is lovely having them at home though :)

To catch up, I'm just going to post some photos and if there's anything you see in them that you'd like to know more about, just leave a comment or email me and I'll try and help.
I'm embarrassed to say the first ones are Father's Day cards...... has it really been a month ago?

Lydia made this one for her Dad - isn't it a pity she's not 'into' crafting!
It was her first time using Copics too.

Caleb had great fun making this card

Phoebe made this one in Nursery school

I paper pieced the rocket, cut out the window and filled it with glossy accents to look like a real window.

The same digital image for these cards with one made landscape and the other portrait.

Another digi image for Dad's birthday and coloured with Koh-i-noor pencils.

That's all the boy cards for today, I'll be back tomorrow with teacher cards and gifts.
I've also been doing some sewing!

Thank you for visiting today :)

Father's Day & Special Birthday

This year I only had time to make 2 cards, one for my dad and the other for Richard's dad. Richard said he didn't need a card this year so the children didn't make one either. I think Lydia was a bit relieved!!

It's Richard's mum's 65th birthday today too, so I made 2 cards, one from us and the other from the children.

We've had a pretty quiet day, looking forward to the last week of school before the holidays. Still have to make a thank you card for Caleb's teacher. He hasn't had a great year due to illness, but hopefully now his tonsils are gone, the next one will be better :)
